🚌 Day 1: Cochabamba – Uyuni (Overnight Trip)

The trip begins at the Cochabamba bus terminal, located on Av. Ayacucho. At 8:00 PM, you’ll board the tourist bus to Uyuni, a comfortable and safe trip through the Bolivian highlands. The estimated arrival time in Uyuni is 5:00 AM the following day.

Upon arrival, our team will greet you at the terminal and transfer you to our offices, where you’ll receive instructions, recommendations, and prepare for the excursion.

At 10:30 AM, you’ll board the bus. At 8:00 a.m., the tour begins in a shared 4×4 vehicle (maximum 6 people per vehicle), visiting the following sites:

  • Train Graveyard: a post-apocalyptic landscape with abandoned locomotives, perfect for photos.
  • Colchani Village: where you will learn about the artisanal salt process and can buy handmade souvenirs.
  • Eyes of the Salt Flat: natural formations where water springs from the saline subsoil.
  • Dakar Monument, Stairway to Heaven, and Flag Pillar: symbolic and very photogenic sites.
  • First Salt Hotel (now a museum): built entirely with salt blocks, where lunch is served.

In the afternoon, we will head to the famous Incahuasi Island, a rocky outcrop in the middle of the salt flat, home to giant cacti and 360° panoramic views. We will then visit the salt flat esplanade to take perspective and reflection photos (during the rainy season).

We conclude with a magical experience: the sunset over the Uyuni Salt Flats, where the sky blends with the white horizon, creating an unforgettable spectacle.

  • English-speaking guide (optional at an additional cost): Regular service is offered in Spanish. If you prefer an English-speaking guide or another language, you can request one in advance for an additional cost, subject to availability.
  • Breakfast and Dinner: The tour includes a traditional lunch in the center of the salt flat, but does not include breakfast or dinner. Additional meals can be arranged before or after the tour.
