ITINERARY
🗺️ Itinerary
We begin the adventure with pickup from your accommodation in Copacabana and head to the main pier.
We’ll board a tourist boat and sail across the blue waters of Lake Titicaca toward Isla del Sol, specifically its south side. This island is considered the mythical birthplace of Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo, founders of the Inca Empire.
Once on the island, we’ll begin a hike along its ancient trails to visit the archaeological remains of the Pilkokaina Temple, an Inca structure dedicated to the worship of the Sun. From here, the panoramic views of the lake are absolutely majestic.
We’ll continue our ascent to the famous Fountain of the Three Waters, an ancient hydraulic system that represents the three Andean worlds: the upper world (Hanan Pacha), the underworld (Kay Pacha), and the underworld (Uku Pacha). This place is still revered for its spiritual energy.
We descend again to the dock to embark for Moon Island, birthplace of Titicaca’s most mysterious legends.
Once on the island, we explore the ruins of the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun or “Iñak Uyu,” a female ceremonial center reserved for the priestesses who served the sun god during the Inca era. This site offers an atmosphere of peace, history, and spiritual connection.
Finally, we return by boat to the city of Copacabana, culminating a magical day filled with history, vibrant culture, and unforgettable landscapes.

RECOMMENDATIONS
🌟 Recommendations
🧳 Prepare for walking: Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes. There are sections with Inca stairs and rustic trails.
🧥 Dress in layers: The weather on Lake Titicaca can change quickly. We recommend wearing a light jacket, hat, and sunglasses.
🧴 Sun protection: Solar radiation at altitude is intense. Don’t forget sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and lip balm.
💧 Stay hydrated: Bring your reusable water bottle. Being over 3,800 meters above sea level requires staying well hydrated.
📸 Camera ready: You’ll have panoramic views of the lake, agricultural terraces, and sacred temples. Make sure you have enough battery and space.
🎫 Bring your ID or passport: It may be required at checkpoints when entering or leaving Copacabana.
🕊️ Respect sacred spaces: Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna are historical sites with spiritual significance. Please respect the local culture.
